Frequently Asked Questions
What sort of quality can I expect from a Lisa Ridgers original work?
After nearly 20 years of working with galleries and the professional design industry worldwide; I have become a stickler for a certain level of quality in the art that I offer. Because of that, I use only professional grade, quality artist materials for my original works. Wherever possible I use UV resistant acrylic paints and mediums. I choose acid free, artist grade, quality rag / watercolor papers and mat boards. The highest level of attention to quality is put into each piece from start to finish to ensure that your purchase will look as great as it does when you first bring it into your home for many years to come.
- Canvas artwork is professionally pre-stretched and double/ triple primed with acid free gesso and wrapped around deep profile 1 1/2” kiln dried stretcher bars. We wire it here in the studio with heavy duty picture framing wire for a piece that is ready to hang on your wall straight out of the box.
- Paper artwork is produced with only quality professional grade materials, UV resistant and acid free where possible. Pieces are mounted on a crisp white, acid free mat board. An impressive 3-4” width makes for a quality presentation in your home. All pieces come with backer board and are individually bagged for protection.
